Create an Action Plan
Based
on the results of the classroom audit, the Student Challenge Leaders
will develop an action plan for each classroom to help them successfully
reduce their CO2 emissions by 2000 lbs or
more over the course of the school year.
- The success of the action plan in each classroom depends not only on the teacher, but on all the students who learn in that classroom. Getting them on board is important to meeting your Action Plan goals. If the teacher is willing, arrange to visit their class to speak directly with those students and brainstorm ideas to enhance their experience of the Challenge, such as classroom competitions, games, events, etc.
- Identify specific areas you’d like to focus on. Perhaps you want to focus on reducing CO2 emissions produced by transportation or lighting or computer use. Picking one specific area can help you focus your action plan.
