Teachers who accept the Cool School Action Plan will then make a ‘pledge’ to implement the plan. Student Challenge Leaders will gather and compile pledges for tracking purposes. It’s not a bad idea to have a designated “scorekeeper” to create a log of classrooms and their CO2 reduction goals.

Once you have completed your list of pledges and their goals, fill out and submit the form below so you can compare your progress with other schools.

To motivate students and teachers to participate, create signs, posters or other fun visuals to place in each classroom taking the pledge, so other students and teachers know who in the school is committed to protecting the climate and reducing greenhouse gas emissions. You could also post each classroom’s action plan in a highly visible location, so everyone who uses that classroom can be aware of the goals.
