Upcoming Teacher Workshops
We are pleased to offer a series of free teacher training workshops to introduce teachers to the Cool School Challenge and how it can be used to engage students in effective strategies to reduce carbon dioxide emissions at your school.
Continuing education units (CEUs) will be provided. Additionally, Puget Sound Energy is offering a $300 stipend to teachers who:
- Attend a workshop;
- subsequently implement the Challenge at their school and complete a brief program evaluation; and
- teach at a school located within their service territory.

January 31 , 2009 | 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Padilla Bay Breazale Interpretative Center, Mount Vernon, WA.
Teachers of grades 7-12 from Island, Skagit, Whatcom and Snohomish counties are
invited to participate in this 6-hour workshop to learn about the Cool School
Challenge. The workshop will also include a special focus on the connections between humans, estuaries and climate change.
